Luis Calvo
Luis F. Calvo represents public and private corporations, as well as individuals, in all aspects of commercial and corporate law with a particular focus on cross-border corporate issues. Luis regularly advises U.S. and non-U.S. clients involved in international business matters in the U.S. and worldwide. In addition, Luis represents clients in commercial and business litigation in matters involving investment disputes and high stakes breaches of contract. Luis has represented plaintiffs and defendants in over 60 FINRA arbitrations and multiple cases in Federal, New York, and Texas state courts. Luis began his career at a law firm in Mexico City where he represented Fortune 100 companies in government contracts and antitrust matters. Luis earned a J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law, where he served as an Editor of the Journal of Corporate and Financial Law and was a member of Fordham’s Moot Court team. Luis also received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award for his work in Fordham’s Securities Arbitration Clinic and Legal Outreach. Luis further received a Master of Laws in International Business & Trade Law from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico.
